About the role
Gray ships on Google Play, and Android users deserve the same voice loop iOS gets, not a port that arrives a month late. The app is built on a modern cross-platform stack with deep native work where it counts. You will own the Android app. Performance, audio, and the hundred device-specific details that make voice feel instant on hardware we don’t control.
What you will own
- Own the Android app end to end. Architecture, performance, Play Store release
- Match the iOS voice loop beat for beat. Barge-in, orb transitions, haptics
- Handle the Android audio stack properly. Focus, routing, background capture
- Keep the app fast across the device spread, not just flagships
- Ship weekly alongside the iOS release train
What you bring

About Gray
Gray is voice-first AI you operate like a terminal. You speak and it runs real work across your machines. SSH sessions, multi-agent jobs, files, scheduled tasks. Then it speaks back. It is self-hosted, private by architecture, and built for the people who run the internet’s plumbing.
