About the role
Gray’s audience lives on X and Reddit, and they can smell marketing from a hostname. You will run Gray’s accounts and community the way the product speaks. Calm, dry, precise, useful. Show real work, answer real questions, never shout.
What you will own
- Own Gray’s X and Reddit presence. Posts, replies, and the tone of both
- Run the subreddit and community spaces, and turn feedback into filed, prioritized issues
- Ship the daily drumbeat around launches without descending into hype
- Find and amplify real users doing real things with Gray
- Report what the community is saying to the team, unfiltered
What you bring
- You have run social for a technical product or built a technical audience of your own
- Native fluency in X and Reddit culture. You know what gets ratioed and why
- Writing that is short, dry, and correct
- Judgment under fire. You know when not to post
Nice to have
- You moderate or have moderated a community that stayed civil
- Terminal fluency, enough to demo and answer honestly

About Gray
Gray is voice-first AI you operate like a terminal. You speak and it runs real work across your machines. SSH sessions, multi-agent jobs, files, scheduled tasks. Then it speaks back. It is self-hosted, private by architecture, and built for the people who run the internet’s plumbing.
